Do not miss the visit to the highest active Volcano in Europe!
Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation at your most preferred time and drive you to Rifugio Sapienza, in the south side of Mount Etna (1920 meters). Once you arrive at the Rifugio, there are several activities you can choose from: you can simply relax in front of an hot chocolate and a piece of traditional cake, admiring the surrounding volcanic landscape or do some trekking on the Monti Silvestri, two inactive craters formed as a result of the Mount Etna eruption of 1892 and located just few meters walking distance from the refuge. If you rather explore the area deeper with a hint of adventure you’ll have the chance to take the cable car to reach 2500mt. Once you get here, you can choose whether do some autonomous trekking or continue with special 4×4 vehicles up to the summit, at 2920 meters, where you will have a walk on the crater with the assistance of a mountain guide (Price for the cable car is € 30 per person, Price for cable car + 4×4 bus and local guide is € 66 per person). Do not forget to buy a typical lava stone souvenir!
On the way back, we will stop at a local farm where you can buy some delicious typical Sicilian products: honey, olive oil, pate and much more.
At your choice, it is possible to add a stop in a local winery for a visit or a wine tasting.
